This year I drove down to Platteville and then Amber, Mika and I went to Nauvoo together.
One of the first things we saw were the statues of Joseph and Hyrum by the temple, Amber wanted to Climb up and ride the horse with Joseph... but the statues aren't as strong as they look.
Then we saw the people who were playing Emma and Joseph Smith for the pageant, so we got our picture with them!!
We played around Nauvoo and then had dinner with the YSA group and then got ready for the pageant. Just so you know the Nauvoo Pageant is AMAZING!!! I'm so glad that we go when the pageant is going on. After the pageant we went up to the temple but then our peacefulness was interrupted, by a rowdy group of YSA.
So we just went and got ice cream!!

Saturday morning was the day we got to go to the Temple, I just love the Nauvoo Temple!!!
Then we got t-shirts on SALE!!!! Went to the family living center and ate bread with Joseph (whom by the way has a sweet pink and green tie!)
Carthage was in the schedule for Saturday afternoon. I think Carthage may be one of my favorite places to visit. The spirit was so strong, and it was just great. Even though Amber threaten Sam in the middle of the tour, but that's okay.
When we were in the martyrdom room, the sister missionary asked us to think about what we would do if we knew we were to die in a couple days. I'm so glad that I was there with my sister, even though we don't get along very often we had a great weekend and there in the room where Joseph and Hyrum were martyred, I was so thankful for my older sister, and just so happy that I will be with her for eternity.
I was picked to take a survey about Nauvoo and Carthage and in return I got a Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD Praise to The Man. It's a great CD! We opened the sunroof and rolled down all the windowed and cruised through Nauvoo blasting the CD.Then we drove home.... we tried to.
Amber told me to stop being a backseat driver so then we got lost.
We got on I-80 W (toward Salt Lake!) when we wanted I-80 E!
We found a gas station to get directions and when we asked the cashier, "what town are we in" she gave us the you shouldn't be driving look. We made it back to Platteville safely. Then Mika and I got back in my car and headed home. He fell asleep right after we hit Madison, so I called my dearest Michelle Anne and I talked to her for the first time in like weeks.
Nauvoo was so Amazing!!!
oh yes P.S I ran into Sister Elbert who was in State Honors Choir with me!!
